Global News is learning new details about the lives and deaths of two young Edmonton police officers who died in the line of duty this week. Investigators say that Const. Travis Jordan and Const. Brett Ryan responded to a call about a family dispute early Thursday morning. After they were met by a 55-year-old woman outside her apartment building, the two officers then went into the suite where she lives with her partner and her 16-year-old son. Police confirmed that neither officer discharged their firearms and say they had no opportunity to respond to the threat that was facing them. Heather Yourex-West reports.
