Ontario announces plan to address surgery backlog, will involve private clinics in some surgeries

Ontario Health Minister Sylvia Jones announced a "three-step plan" to address the province's surgery backlog, which will see for-profit private clinics performing some surgeries, starting with cataract procedures, before moving on to colonoscopies, endoscopies, and other non-urgent procedures.
