Toronto Mayor John Tory said Friday that he’s calling for “greater transparency” into Metrolinx’s plan to finish the Eglinton Crosstown LRT but said a public inquiry into the delays “isn’t the answer.” The $5.8-billion LRT line cutting east-west through Toronto has blown past deadlines amid concerns about a lack of transparency from Metrolinx.
