Demands for accountability are growing after two Vancouver police officers failed to attend an apology ceremony in Heiltsuk Nation in British Columbia. The ceremony was part of a settlement agreement after Maxwell Johnson, an Indigenous man, and his granddaughter Torianne were wrongfully arrested at a bank in December 2019.
