Two men suspected of being Chinese intelligence officers have been charged with attempting to obstruct a U.S. criminal investigation and prosecution of Chinese tech giant Huawei, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland announced on Monday. “This was an egregious attempt by PRC [People’s Republic of China] intelligence officers to shield a PRC-based company from accountability and to undermine the integrity of our judicial system,” he said.
