A massive new commercial and residential project under the name Bridge-Bonaventure is being proposed in Montreal. Developers want to build up to 7,500 new housing units in an area just south of Griffintown bordering the city’s Old Port and the Bonaventure Expressway. It would be spread over 2.3 kilometers and is designed to revitalize the old industrial neighbourhood. As Global’s Tim Sargeant reports, the proposed project would completely change the urban landscape of the area.
