Abstract: As many Montrealers try to manage their personal budgets to deal with the rising costs of living, there is another price hike on the horizon, known as property taxes. Local taxes in many boroughs are increasing by double digit rates, including the largest borough of Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce. As Global’s Tim Sargeant reports, residents argue that the tax hikes are unfair.
