Manitoba RCMP superintendent Scott McMurchy announced on Friday the launch of Manitoba RCMP Strategic Enforcement Response Team (SERT) in response to the increase in violent crime in some Manitoba communities. The task force operates in two phases: the first is to gather data and analyze it, then information is passed to officers to implement it while working on investigations in communities.
