Conservatives claim murders at ’30-year-high’ under Liberal government, slam Bill C-21

Interim Conservative Leader Candice Bergen targeted the government’s Bill C-21, the proposed handgun freeze, and slammed action by the Liberals for their actions on public safety, claiming they were implementing gun bans while “letting violent criminals into our communities.” Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino responded, saying Bill C-21 was tackling “organized crime head-on” and outlining more of its elements.
