Examining trend of hate crimes aimed at LGTBQIA2S+ community

June is typically a month of celebration for the LGTBQIA2S+ community and its allies. But during this year’s Pride events there are stark reminders that hate still exists. This week a drag show was canceled in Victoria, B.C. after organizers received threats. And similar incidents have played out across the country and the U.S. Mike Drolet examines this disturbing trend and what’s being done to address it.
