There have now been 20 cases of avian flu confirmed in Alberta according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. The unprecedented spread across Canada this year is highlighting risks for anyone keeping chickens or poultry. As Sarah Offin reports, that includes for those keeping backyard chickens as part of Calgary’s newly launched urban hen program.
