Nova Scotia’s deputy chief medical officer of health Dr. Shelley Deeks explained on Thursday the province’s updated approach to reporting COVID-19 data, which has since shifted to weekly updates. Deeks said the province’s public health unit is still “continuously” monitoring data and that the health-care system’s capacity and the understanding of the coronavirus has evolved since the start of the pandemic.
