AstraZeneca COVID-19 treatment preventative for immunocompromised, unvaccinated, health officials say

Health officials sought to clear up confusion Friday about a new AstraZeneca COVID-19 treatment after Canada signed an agreement for 100,000 doses. Both Chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam and Deputy chief public health officer Dr. Howard Njoo say the antibody treatment is preventative against COVID-19 and meant for those who are immunocompromised or unvaccinated.
