Born and raised in Peru, surfing was a big part of Larry Cavero’s life since he was 7-years-old. Cavero moved from Peru, escaping the Civil War in 1992 thinking he had left surfing behind until he discovered the Great Lakes and the Toronto surfing community. Susan Hay has the story.
