Toronto Mayor John Tory said Saturday, as protesters were expected to show up near Queen’s Park in opposition to COVID-19 mandates, that the hope is people will have “said their piece and then go home.” He added police will be focused on ensuring the demonstrations stay peaceful and respectful, but they will not condone symbols or words of hate.
