COVID-19: Ontario’s top doctor defends decision to drop contact tracing for businesses
Description
January 27, 2022
Ontario's chief medical officer of health Dr. Kieran Moore on Thursday defended the decision to drop contact tracing for businesses starting Monday, saying the government is trying to prioritize case and contact management capacity for the highest risk and vulnerable populations, such as shelters and long-term care facilities. He added people should work to determine their individual risks, saying the amount of the virus in the community was "not such that individual case and contact management will have any benefit."
