Major Pacific Northwest storm that prompted weather warnings weakens as it reaches land

It was a record-breaking storm in the Pacific Northwest. The so-called bomb cyclone, the most intense low-pressure system to build off the west coast, prompted warnings up and down B.C.’s south coast. Fortunately, as Emily Lazatin reports, by the time it reached land the storm started to weaken.
