The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has teamed up with Saildrone Inc. to send a drone into Hurricane Sam, capturing the world’s first view from inside a hurricane. As Mike Drolet explains, it’s hoped the data collected can protect coastal communities from future hurricanes.
