Indigenous students reflect on national day for Truth and Reconciliation
Description
September 30, 2021
For generations, thousands of Indigenous children were taken from their homes and faced abuse while attending residential schools, many dying while separated from their families. The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is Sept. 30. Katherine Ward took time to speak with young people, many of whom continue to carry the trauma of their families, to hear their reflections on the new federal holiday.

Indigenous students reflect on national day for Truth and Reconciliation
