During a telephone town hall in Ottawa on Thursday evening, Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole fielded a question on seniors living on fixed incomes and having to deal with increasing inflation. “The Working Canadians tax benefit we’re going to have basically a one dollar an hour raise for the lower income threshold and some people are stepping out of the work force into that. For others we’re going to have relief in a variety of other ways including our GST holiday that we’re planning for December,” O’Toole said.
