CBSA official asks for travellers’ patience as border agents begin job action

Denis Vinette, vice-president for the Travellers Branch of the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA), told Global News that as the majority of border agents are considered essential workers, they must and he believes they will show up for work amid a work-to-rule action by the union that represents them. He did, however, ask for travellers' patience as the work action could see agents turning down overtime, possibly making for longer lines especially as an easing of travel rules is set to occur next week.
