‘Rapid testing is vital’: Mississauga mayor
Description
April 11, 2021
The West Block‘s Mercedes Stephenson speaks with a mayor who is at the heart of one of Canada’s COVID-19 hot zones – Mayor Bonnie Crombie of Mississauga, Ont. Peel region is a transportation hub, and Crombie feels that rapid testing should be used to get the “inferno” of the COVID-19 pandemic under control. “I think all the large employers here in Peel should implement the rapid testing program. I know they're available. I know the federal government has a store of rapid tests. And I think it's very important whether it's out of our borders or it's in those large places of employment, that we use the rapid testing,” says Crombie.
