Nova Scotia’s elected officials returned to Province House for the first time during the COVID-19 pandemic in a brand new hybrid model that had most MLAs tuning in from home. In his Throne Speech, Premier Iain Rankin prioritized action on the climate crisis, but as Elizabeth McSheffrey reports, that’s not what protesters outside the building had at the top of their list of demands.
