Liberals ‘disappointed’ Morneau didn’t get enough support after dropping from OECD race

Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Marc Garneau said on Tuesday that the federal government is “disappointed” former finance minister Bill Morneau didn’t get enough support for his race to the secretary-general of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Garneau added the government believed Morneau was the ideal candidate for the position in these difficult times.
