Kenney urges Biden to reconsider decision to block Keystone XL, says it will harm U.S. energy independence

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Alberta Premier Jason Kenney slammed reports the incoming Joe Biden administration in the U.S. planned to block implementation of the cross-border Keystone XL pipeline. Kenney said the decision would endanger U.S. energy independence, framing the American decision as a choice to turn from a “close democratic ally” towards imports from “OPEC dictatorships.”
