Out of an “abundance of caution,” the Nova Scotia government has extended the holiday break for schools, ending classes on Dec. 18 and starting them up again on Jan. 11. As Elizabeth McSheffrey reports, the Nova Scotia Teachers Union is applauding the much-needed break, citing student and staff exhaustion.
