Losing a limb is traumatic, and getting a prosthesis can be part of the recovery process. But finding artificial limbs for people who aren’t white can be difficult and expensive. Now, Nigerian artist John Sunday is creating affordable prostheses for these amputees. Crystal Goomansingh looks at the value of Sunday’s work, and the calls for more support from Canadian amputees.
