Manitoba announces surplus for 2019-20, facing ‘significant challenges’ ahead with pandemic

Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister and the province’s Minister of Finance Scott Fielding on Tuesday announced that the province was celebrating the accomplishment of balancing the budget that included a surplus of $5 million for 2019-20. However, they also warned that the COVID-19 pandemic also has Manitoba “facing significant challenges ahead.”
