The new ‘Toronto’ sign at Nathan Phillips Square was revealed on Friday. It was replaced to be more durable but it also has a new look. It is currently wrapped in imagery to honour the International Decade for People of African Descent. Mayor John Tory is hoping this will be a visual reminder to make change towards systematic anti-Black racism.
