Coronavirus: WHO official stresses importance of ‘global political commitment’ once vaccine is developed
Description
July 20, 2020
On Monday, World Health Organization (WHO) director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that “the most important element” for fair distribution once a COVID-19 vaccine is developed will be “global political commitment.” He added that the advantage of vaccine access is that the world “can lift itself out of the pandemic together,” which could speed up economic recovery.
