U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday ramped up his attacks on former vice-president and Democratic presumptive presidential nominee Joe Biden, calling him and the Democratic party the “party of socialism.” He also said Biden was a “puppet” of Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, two of the party’s progressive wing, as well as of the people “who want to rip down statues and monuments.”
