Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo mayor Don Scott said 1,230 structures in the city’s core were damaged by the flooding and said many evacuees will remain out of their homes for possibly another week, as re-entry will be staged. He also updated the status of the ice jams on the rivers through the northern Alberta city.
