During a COVID-19 update on Sunday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said it would be “irresponsible” for the House of Commons to resume on April 20, given the current coronavirus outbreak in the country. He said the government “needs to continue to do everything we can to ensure people are kept safe,” and that although his proposal was “largely accepted” by other opposition parties, the Conservative party is “not taking a responsible approach.”
