James Cullingham on Refugee Journalists in Canada

Award-winning filmmaker James Cullingham has made documentaries around the world, but for his current project the world came to him: journalists from Mexico, Syria and Turkey. For reasons ranging from civil unrest to direct personal threats these journalists found themselves as refugees in Canada. In advance of a public panel discussion featuring the journalists, we spoke with Cullingham about the unique risks and vulnerabilities of their work in their home countries.
