Deadline extended for Alberta post-secondary institutions to adopt free speech policies

The Alberta government is giving that province’s colleges and universities more time to implement new guidelines on free speech. The policies aim to protect the right to have controversial speakers on campus, and the right for students to hear all kinds of ideas and opinions. But as Heather Yourex-West explains, critics say these rules open the door for hate speech.
