B.C. wine industry pioneers shocked at death of Harry McWatters

For more than 40 years, George and Trudy Heiss helped Harry McWatters as he shaped B.C. wine into a world-renowned product. The Okanagan winemakers say the industry will struggle without his guidance. McWatters, 74, died in his sleep at home on July 23.
