KELOWNA, B.C. - Starting this Saturday, August 23rd, Kelowna General Hospital's main Pandosy entrance will be closed for 10 weeks due to construction. Instead, the hospital asks that pedestrians enter through the east side of the Centennial Building at a temporary entrance directly underneath the Pandosy Skywalk. The closure also affects the pickup and drop off of patients at the Centennial entrance roundabout. Non-emergency patients can now be dropped off at three different entrances: • The temporary main entrance at the east side of the Centennial Building • The Dr. Walter Anderson lab building, taking elevator to the third floor. • The Strathcona Building on the west side of KGH Emergency patients can still be dropped off at the ER entrance on Royal Avenue. A press release explains that the closure is necessary in order to build a front entrance to the new Interior Heart and Surgical Centre. The relocation will be in effect from Saturday, August 23rd to Friday, October 31st.
