‘Opportunity to heal’: Recognizing contributions made by Indigenous military members

This Remembrance Day has added significance for many Indigenous military members, veterans, and their families. The Canadian Armed Forces issued a formal apology for racial discrimination within the forces on Oct. 30th 2025, admitting they failed Indigenous service members.
