Singh says he stands by decision not to trigger election earlier
Description
April 25, 2025
NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh offered an explanation Friday as to why he did not trigger a federal election call earlier. Speaking in Toronto, Singh said that he delayed triggering an election because wanted people to benefit from pharmacare and dental care programs, and did not want Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives to form a majority government because of their “cuts and divisions”.
