Kicking off the second week of Canada’s federal election campaign, new polling shows the Liberals are firmly in the lead. The Ipsos poll conducted for Global News shows 44 per cent of decided voters support Mark Carney’s Liberals. That’s up two points from polling conducted before the election call and is in majority election territory. Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives also climbed two points, with those gains coming at the expense of smaller parties, including the NDP whose support has fallen to nine per cent. Mackenzie Gray reports.
