It’s the first tourism season with new restrictions on short term rentals and some tourism operators in Kelowna are blaming the crackdown on a decline in the number of visitors. They say the new rules are hitting the local tourism industry hard but tourism officials aren’t so quick to blame the new legislation…saying there are a number of factors that influence visitations to the Okanagan.
