Minister of Employment Randy Boissonault said during question period on Monday that “countless individuals” have expressed to him “how terrified they are about the discriminatory actions” against queer and trans students, after Alberta Premier Danielle Smith announced a series of controversial policy proposals concerning transgender rights. “I have one message for every person in Alberta who believes in the inclusive and equitable province,” Boissonault said. “Call the silent Conservative MPs in this room… So we can kill this bill before it gets to the floor of the legislature.”
