It has been an institution on Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside for years and a place where people could go for a hot meal at an affordable price. The Ovaltine Cafe was shut down by a suspected arson earlier this year but on Friday its doors reopened, thanks to a determined owner and help from the community.Travis Prasad reports.
