Despite high levels of smartphone ownership and relatively high awareness of the big three mobile payment options — Apple, Android and Samsung — only seven per cent of Canadians used a digital wallet in the past six months.

Easy credit and even easier ways to tap it are altering the way Canadians pay for things, with many now favouring credit cards over other forms of payment.
