One of North America's largest sugar refiners, SucroCan, hopes to have a multi-million dollar plant online by 2025 producing a whopping million tonnes annually.

The former sugar refinery site will finally have a sweet new purpose as the City of Saint John does extensive work to the land to mitigate sea level rise and contamination.
