The Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital said the local health unit declared the outbreak on Monday after three patients tested positive on the 1 South (Medicine) inpatient unit.

Kitchener’s hospitals say they have submitted a proposal to the provincial government to build a new hospital in the area as well as make some changes to the current facilities.
