The National Capital Commission's board of directors has voted to rename the Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway in Ottawa to the Kichi Zībī Mīkan.

An Ottawa thoroughfare currently named after Canada's first prime minister is expected to receive a new Indigenous name later this year, the National Capital Commission says.
