Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children says some of its systems could be offline for weeks after it was the subject of a ransomware attack.

JBS, the world's largest meat processing company, said it paid the equivalent of $13.3 million CAD to hackers who broke into its computer system in May.

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto and Western University in London, Ont., advised donors recently by email that a ransom was paid by Blackbaud Inc., one of their service providers.
