City residents are asked to leave a bag of non-perishable food items on their front porch on Saturday, June 1 to be picked up by the food drive volunteers dressed as pirates.

'The shelves are dwindling, inflation is rising, income is not meeting it and there is great need in the community for food and for help,' said food drive organizer Megan Murphy.
