• Guelph marks 150 years since birth of ‘In Flanders Fields’ author John McCrae

  Lt. Col. John McCrae was born in Guelph, Ont., on Nov. 30, 1872, and served in the First World War, including the Second Battle of Ypres where he penned the famous poem in 1915.
